Colombo Design Studio was started in 2012 and since that time we have been bringing our unique blend of human-centred design, original ideas, true innovation and practical creativity to clients around the world. Based at the centre of the Indian Ocean, with partners and clients to the East and the West, we know how to get things done in this ever evolving world.

While every business, product challenge and brand platform is different, what we do always aims at making our partners’ and clients’ companies, products and services better. We believe that design, science and commerce can work together to make our lives better; and, Colombo Design Studio is part of that striving.

Colombo Design Studio was founded by the industrial designer Lee Bazalgette who was originally from London before he centred his practice in Colombo. Bazalgette is a graduate of Loughborough University, with his work recognised by several awards including the D&AD, Design Week, DBA and The Chicago Athenaeum Good Design award.

He is a master at translating creative ideas into production ready 3D models and renderings with a special interest in sustainable design and material innovation. At Colombo Design Studio, Bazalgette works with a group creators and multi-skill experts, using an interdisciplinary work model with design and innovation as its central dynamics.
