Lion Brewery Adventure POS

Brief

Lion Beer is synonymous with Relaxation, Adventure and Fun. The client requirement was to design a unique packaging for an adventure sized beer pack along with a POS stand to feature the adventure pack.

Approach

The first part of this project was to try and wrap six beer cans in a safari-jeep-shaped cardboard pack. We enjoyed the idea that opening the back doors would 'let the lions out', and also that the lion faces can be seen peeking out through the windows, as though on safari themselves.

For the POS stand we wanted to add some drama to the whole display and further reenforce the excitement of a Sri Lankan jeep safari. Once we had the design we had to work out a flat-pattern for the cardboard. Thankfully Solidworks sheet metal can be used to accurately fold and unfold a pattern thus allowing us to arrive at the most efficient and stable design.
